Cattery av Jøngenorge - Interview with Rocky

Where were you born, and how many siblings do you have?
I was born in Almere; my parents had quite a small litter, for I had only two sisters.
One of my sisters moved to the United States of America when she was still very young, I rather do not know where my other sister has gone to.

What is your favourite food?
A nice piece of cooked fillet of cod, delicious!!!
Then some canned food, but it has to be Gourmet with vegetables or rice.
I tried other brands, but I do not like them.
Unfortunately we get it served only once a day, so the rest of the day I have only dry food.

What kind of toy is your favourite?
A brand new stinky mouse, filled with catnip.
It's fun to throw it through the room and then run after it like an idiot, making stupid leaps.

Have you ever attended a catshow?
I sure did! My first show experience was on June 16, 1996 in Druten. The show was nice,
but driving in the car, locked away in a carrier, was not.
After having screamed like a pig they let me run loose in the car on our way back home,
and YES, that was heaven! Ah, to settle down on top of the backseat,
looking at everything...from that moment travelling was not a problem anymore.
Wasn't that a clever move?
Well in the meantime I became European Champion, so I hardly travel anymore.

Did you ever get kittens?
No, sadly not. In my new house I was the first Norwegian Forest Cat, and when my new parents decided that was pitiable for me, a playmate arrived very soon.
Well, a playmate....it was a snowy white girl, and I fell in love immediately.
We both were much too young for love, but I couldn't control my hormones.
So very soon I had to get rid of my little nuts....

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Yes, please. Well, because I myself was not able anymore to produce any offspring,
but still was the eldest Norwegian Forest Cat in the cattery,
I had the honour to be PR-manager of the cattery.
Quite some job, but I love to do it, and I think I do it well.
Sometimes it's a matter of careful thinking, because nowadays it's ten of us,
but I wouldn't miss it for anything....
