Hi, everybody!
After a quiet period, in which I was mainly occupied by the search for suitable partners
for the ladies, the time of piece and quiet is completely gone now.
Right now I have so much to tell, that a newspage would be suitable.
The meaning of this page is that I write all the news here, so that everybody knows
what happens in the cattery.

There's a party at home 'av Jøngenorge'!
From today we are the proud 'can-openers' of a 'black pearl'.
A jet-black beautiful little doll, named Glidelås Svarte Perle.
She's a daughter of Silvy, who I'm sad to say, couldn't find the golden basket here.
Fortunately now she has found it and we hope
to be able to offer it to her daughter Perly.

Today I got very spoilt:
Reina van de Heide, 'cattery Torv Hede's' and Lien Bosma, 'cattery Jonyma',
paid a visite, loaded with picture-albums.
As Reina has been breeding Norwegians for about twenty years and
visited many Scandinavian catteries in the past,
she had a great number of pictures of Norwegian quadrupeds of days gone by.
And lucky me, I was allowed to choose which pictures I wanted to scann!
Accordingly, the pedigrees of my Norwegians have been supplemented
with the following ancestors:
Torv Hede's Jonetta, Lian Abjatar, Trolla van Sarpsdaal, Black Beauty,
Chiranka av Skogheim, Høvedmansgård A Lurifax
T-Chess and Trønderskogens Berit.

My special thanks for this to Paul and Thea Schackman,
from whom I was allowed to receive, apart from the above-mentioned pictures,

Miauw people, how busy I have been!
Because of the move of a part of the kittens, a whole lot had to be adjusted on the site.
The kittenpage has been emptied and added to the litterpage.
The two boys, who stay at home, have been placed in the tom-cat section,
of course including
photo-pedigree, showing-results and interview.
Then there's the introduction-page, where both gentlemen are now mentioned as well.
The growing-tables have been added to all three litters.
And not to forget a substantial number of new pictures to make it complete.
In the mean time I have been very busy with the photo-pedigrees for the English part,
so there was no question of a relaxed cat's life lately.
But this boy managed and from now on everything is up-to-date again.

Inquisitive as this boy is, I have been curious about my ancestors for ages.
But as a cat you can't just pick up the phone to make
an appointment for a meeting in person.
Added to it that my relatives don't live nearby and that a number of them
aren't that young anymore.
Still I couldn't stop thinking about it and all of a sudden I had this super idea!
Our 'spoil-mother' is a pedigree-and-photo-addict and I only I......
Wow, it made me completely nervous.
After having studied her programme, it was as easy as ABC to ask for the pictures.
Sadly enough, there weren't many pictures of my family.
My mate Smoky greatly enjoyed it as well, so we decided to look up
the ancestors of all the four-legged ones here.
From today the pedigrees of the Dutch side have been supplied with as many photos
and dates of birth as possible and we're working hard on the English part.
If some of you might be in possession of a picture we don't already have,
we would be very pleased with that.

Today the little ones of Misty are 13 weeks old and are moving house one by one.
In spite of the fact that they think it's pretty exciting,
they all prefer to take mummy Misty with them.

In any case we are convinced that they are received with open arms by everyone
and will keep us posted on their well-being.

Even though I wasn't quite sure about it on April 18th, there is no
doubt about it anymore.
Misty got her kittens.
On May 14 she gave birth to three male kittens, and on the 15th a female
kitten arrived,
followed by male number 4.

While I am pretty sure that Misty is pregnant, now is the time to announce it!
From March 10, 2001 on, she spent a few days with the love of her life, "Tibby",
and is getting pretty filled up now.
Assuming that she is not fooling me for the second time now, and that she is really pregnant,
I hope that I can announce the birth of little fluffyballs
in our cattery around May 15, 2001.

Party! Today our cattery welcomes Norwegian Forest Cat number eight. Welcome dear Silvy!
Again a lady, but most of you are used to that.
Our "mother" already knows her from the day she was born and fell in love immediately,
but because there were already seven of us, she felt it was not good to have another one.
Well at some point her breeders decided to keep her,
so that our mother saw her from time to time, and fell in love deeper and deeper.
And now she can come and live with us. Jippie!
She is a black/white officially, well, the white is very hard to find.
We ourselves see her as the black lady, because however she walks, sits or lies down,
the white is invisible.

Misty became a Gr.Int.Ch. She deserved the final point today at the show in Schiedam.
Both our "mother" and we are very proud of her.
Well, it means that this probably must have been her last show
and also the end of her show career.
She didn't like the last shows anyway, and I always told my girls to quit showing
as soon as it was no fun anymore.

Sylvana is the first "av Jøngenorge" female who became a mother.
She gave birth to two female kittens of a proud 138 and 142 gram.
Both babies are black tortie and white.
Sylvana doesn't live in our cattery anymore, but lives as a little princess in Belgium at
cattery Zamorah's Delight.
